Charged with the task of developing marketing collateral for the announcement and launch of the new Perfect Honey Hair Foods Masks, I embarked on crafting a social media campaign that transcended the ordinary. Armed with a blank canvas - no formal brief - and cart blanche from the marketing team, I delved into research to unearth the most appealing and trending content for consumers, specifically targeting instagram users as Creme of Nature’s audience predominantly resides there. What started as a single social media post evolved into a groundbreaking campaign.

The result of this innovative approach became Creme of Nature’s #1 social media post in reach, views and engagement metrics within just three days of posting. The overwhelming positive response prompted the team to expand the campaign around the ‘Afro Girl’. This blossomed into a series of posts featuring ingredient highlights, blending photography with illustration - a trend that was resonating with audiences at the time. The campaign further unfolded with benefit claim motion graphics, spotlighting each ingredient-based product separately, accompanied by diverse hair illustrations aligning with the claim. Fast forward two years, and this campaign remains one of Creme of Nature’s largest, consistently boasting the highest reach metrics and standing as a testament to the power of dynamic storytelling in the digital realm.
